Dr. Shyam Unniraman, Ph.D

Dr. Shyam Unniraman is a seasoned biotech leader with over a decade of experience in early-stage startups. He has a proven track record of building companies from the ground up and developing therapeutic strategies across a broad spectrum of modalities, including antibodies, T-cell engagers, degraders, cytokines, RNAi, small molecules, and CAR-T platforms. His expertise spans diverse therapeutic areas, especially immuno-oncology, autoimmunity, and rare diseases. He has successfully advanced multiple molecules from early discovery to pre-IND stages. Dr. Unniraman is adept at engaging with investors, Advisory Boards and KOLs.

Prior to his industry career, Dr. Unniraman was an Assistant Professor of Immunology and Biochemistry at Duke University, following postdoctoral training at Yale University. His academic research led to fundamental discoveries in B cell development, antibody biology, and tumorigenesis. He holds an M.S. and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science and a B.Sc. from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences.
