Dr. D. Purkayastha, Ph.D

With over 30 years of experience in the Biomedical and Pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Purkayastha has made significant contributions to Drug Development and Medical Affairs. Early in his career, he held a scientist position at the University of Chicago’s Argonne National Laboratory. He later served as the Biostatistical Applications Director at the Cardiology Research Center in Washington D.C.

During his tenure at Novartis Pharma, Dr. Purkayastha held various leadership roles, including Director positions in both US and Global Medical Affairs and Development, focusing on Cardiovascular and Oncology areas. He played a pivotal role in the regulatory submissions process for clinical drug developments across multiple therapeutic areas.

Dr. Purkayastha’s distinguished career is marked by numerous publications and recognitions in international and national medical and statistical journals. He has also been a prominent figure at workshops, symposiums, and conferences.
